Step 1: Preparing the Batter

  1. Wash rice and urad dal separately.
  2. Soak rice for 6 hours and dal for 4 hours.
  3. Grind dal first until fluffy, then rice until smooth.
  4. Mix both batters, add salt, and ferment overnight (8–12 hours).

Step 2: Preparing Potato Masala (Detailed)

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds.
